Steve Maxwell
Nutrition Sales Specialist – Southland
steve.maxwell@sealeswinslow.co.nz
With more than 12 years in the primary sector, Steve brings a broad, hands-on background across farming, contracting and rural advisory roles. He has worked in the dairy industry, spent nine years as an agricultural contractor, and later held a Nutrient Specialist role with Balance Agri-Nutrients. Steve also holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology, giving him a solid science-based foundation to support practical, on-farm decision making.
Steve has a strong background in pasture-based systems and takes a practical, whole-farm approach to nutrition. He enjoys working closely with farmers to build trusted relationships, identify limiting factors in production, and integrate supplementary nutrition in a way that supports pasture performance and drives productivity. By combining on-farm experience with the wider SealesWinslow Nutrition team, Steve helps farmers optimise efficiency and profitability.
Outside of work, Steve keeps busy with his two kids, two dogs and two cats. He enjoys old cars, playing guitar and keeping fit.
Julie Fox
Nutrition Sales Specialist – Northland
With 25 years of experience in the primary sector, my nutrition expertise centers primarily on Calf and custom Blends, complemented by a dual role with NRM. Prior to SealesWinslow, I worked with Ballance Agri Nutrients and RD1/Farmsource. My greatest satisfaction comes from partnering with farmers, gaining insight into their business, and collaborating on effective solutions.
I’m motivated by seeing results, such as helping a dairy farmer transition to a custom blend and achieving a great response with an increase in Milk Solids within a week. I love dealing with people and the variety my role offers.
Outside of work, I stay involved in my community. I play netball in winter and provide first aid and strapping for the local rugby club. I’m also involved with the Northland Field Days committee. I prioritize time with family and love going fishing with my Dad during the summer months.
Chris Stephens
Regional Sales Manager
chris.stephens@sealeswinslow.co.nz
My connection to the primary sector began in 1998 with dairy farming, foundational experience I built upon with an OE and further time on the farm. Academically, I hold a Diploma in Agriculture and a Diploma in Agribusiness. Professionally, I started with Farmlands in 2008, moving to NRM in 2010 as a Technical Dairy Rep, and now serve as the SW Team Lead/Farmlands Commodity Manager.
My core expertise is in Dairy and Calf Nutrition/Commodities. What I enjoy most is being brought into a farmer’s business to help solve a problem and develop a lasting solution-focused relationship. My main motivation at SealesWinslow is the people—working alongside a passionate team who share my drive for providing top-tier nutrition solutions.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three teenage boys. I like playing golf and, whenever possible, fishing on Lake Taupo or any river near Turangi.
Roger Dettling
Nutrition Sales Specialist – Southern Taranaki, Coastal Taranaki
roger.dettling@sealeswinslow.co.nz
Roger grew up on a dairy farm and spent nearly a decade farming before moving into nutrition. For the past 10 years he has worked as a Nutrition Specialist, combining his farming background with technical expertise to support farmers across the dairy, sheep and lamb sectors.
His main area of expertise is balancing dairy cow diets to get the best return on investment, but he also works closely with farmers on sheep and lamb nutrition. Roger has helped farmers lift performance significantly – one farm increased per-cow production by more than 50% over four years, while another lifted peak production by 15% and sustained it longer by maintaining energy through a balanced diet. His approach is always about feeding what stock need for the best response, not just the cheapest option.
Outside of work, Roger and his family are heavily involved in sport. He has a background in speedway racing and now supports his two children in Youth Ministocks, as well as taking part in smallbore shooting and indoor soccer. With the kids also playing soccer and rugby, there’s always something on to keep the family busy.

Paul is known for being hands-on and approachable. He doesn’t claim to be a specialist in just one area – instead, he brings broad knowledge across products and a focus on finding answers quickly. He has worked with farming families across generations, helping them lift production and stay on track with their goals.
Outside of work, Paul enjoys fishing, boating and building projects, as well as spending time outdoors.

He enjoys working as part of a strong, experienced team that can bring together the right solutions for farmers on farm. His focus is on practical, effective nutrition that helps stock perform and supports long-term farm success.

For Chrissy, the most rewarding part of her role is building strong relationships and supporting farmers to see long-term improvements in herd health and productivity.
Outside of work, Chrissy enjoys travelling, horse riding, practicing Tao Do martial arts and spending time with her family.

His strongest focus is dairy nutrition, but he also brings deep experience in calf rearing to help farmers set up their young stock for the future.

Mike Harrison

Animal Nutrition TSR – North Canterbury
Peta Hamilton
Nutrition Sales Specialist – Lower North Island
I was born and bred in Whanganui and grew up on a sheep and beef farm. I have had a passion for farming from a young age. After meeting my husband, Andy, and following him around New Zealand as he chased the high-country sheep and beef farming dream in the South Island, I decided to throw myself into relief milking, calf rearing, and working for LIC, where I found dairy farming really interesting – especially raising quality calves and young stock. I started my journey within the rural retail sector with PGG Wrightson in Lumsden before continuing in the Whanganui PGG Wrightson store after moving back home in 2021.
I have three daughters, Quinn, Honor, and Geva, whom I really enjoy spending time with, whether it be driving around the countryside to different horse events, heading to WOW in Wellington, or spending time at the beach. I am an avid sports fan, especially of Netball and Rugby. I help coach a local school netball team and spend most winters on the sideline watching my daughters play.
I am looking forward to getting out and about on the farm and getting to know farmers within my region.
